It is my expectation that my mirror-window will be accessible to anyone. I hardly feel that a degree in Multimedia or in Computer and Information Sciences is required to enjoy and explore a dark gallery with a video monitor that shows interesting, if sometimes possibly baffling, images and sounds. Anyone can look at an image and form an opinion of it. In this age of Internet forums, can anything be more evident than the abundance of opinions on every subject under the sun? One does not need to understand the workings of a television or computer to appreciate—or despise—its output; nor need members of my audience comprehend the technology that superimposes and combines their reflections with the images on the screen. I do not want to create something that only a small, specific group or demographic may appreciate. I want to reach out, to bridge the gaps between different disciplines so that I may include anyone who wishes to be a part of my project. All I require of my audience is presence and curiosity.
